À l’ombre des nuages, Chapters III–IV, directly extends his approach to visual narrative in painting. The project draws on his pictorial imagination and carries its atmospheres into animation. The paintings come to life and the chronology unfolds, becoming a metaphor for the contemporary world: an unstable, unpredictable space, yet illuminated by flashes of beauty.

By animating his own painterly universe, Roegiers creates a sensitive allegory of our time.
